Overview
Join us for a spectacular evening as we celebrate the rich tapestry of American heritage, history, and community. This special performance brings together the vibrant energy of the Smithtown Strings for a captivating pre-concert showcase, followed by a grand, heart-stirring main program by the Smithtown Community Band. From the rustic charm of traditional hoedowns and beloved folk melodies to the sweeping, emotional depth of patriotic anthems, this concert honors the diverse musical traditions that define our nation.
Under the batons of Conductor William T. Link and Associate Conductor Bradley S. Hartman, the ensemble will deliver powerful tributes to our nation's heroes, including John Williams' moving Hymn to the Fallen and the rousing Armed Forces Salute. The evening will also feature the stunning vocal talents of guest artist Carolyn Mistretta, bringing to life the soulful optimism of Gershwin’s
I Got Plenty o' Nuttin' and the soaring inspiration of You Raise Me Up. It promises to be an unforgettable, uplifting night of music that unites neighbors and celebrates the community spirit. We look forward to seeing you there!
