Overview
Get ready for an energetic, toe-tapping evening of music that celebrates the legendary sounds of Broadway, the Big Band era, and American pop culture. The night begins with a delightful pre-concert performance by the Floot Four Flute Quartet, setting a wonderful musical mood for the evening. Following their performance, Conductor William T. Link and Associate Conductor Bradley S. Hartman will lead the Smithtown Community Band through a spectacular lineup of timeless show tunes, jazz standards, and rock-and-roll classics.
The main program promises a vibrant journey through decades of musical innovation. From the swinging jazz riffs of Duke Ellington’s Caravan and the iconic fusion beats of Weather Report's Birdland, to a swinging tribute to Louis Armstrong and the unforgettable hits of Elvis Presley, there is something for every music lover. The band will also showcase the symphonic genius of Irving Berlin and Broadway's greatest marches, alongside a special presentation of Bradley S. Hartman’s original work, Radiant Jubilee.
